Messier & Messier A

Elongated crater Messier (9 x 11 km) and Messier A, which is composed of two overlapping craters (13 x 11 km) forms an interesting crater group. Here the lighting does not show the internal wall in A. The rays that extend out to the RHS are due to the very oblique impact. The Messier system sits in the middle of Mare Fecunditatis.
