Moon: North East Region

The twin craters Atlas and Hercules are amongst the most noticeable features of the North East Region. Posidonius with its rich rille systems sit on the “shore” of the dark basalt plain Mare Serentitatis. Occasionally the elusive Mare Humboldtianum comes into view from the far side during favourable liberations.
